The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation  

Since 1964, The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation has collected funds to support the development of the hospital and concentrating on the acquisition of new, advanced medical equipment.

It also contributes to the Cœur en santé program, transport for the patients in hemodialysis and the psychological support program for patients with cancer and their families.

The Centre d’hébergement Denis-Benjamin-Viger Foundation

Since 1997, the Centre d’hébergement Denis-Benjamin-Viger Foundation has contributed to the improvement of the quality of life of the residents of the Centre d’hébergement and the Day Centre.

It collects funds to finance, among other things, music-therapy, zoo therapy and gardening activities, as well as acquiring specialized and leisure equipment. It also helps at the local residents committee of the for the decoration and the purchase of gifts during various occasions.

The CLSC's Lac-Saint-Louis and Pierrefonds Foundation

The CLSC Lac-Saint-Louis and Pierrefonds Foundation has existed for more than 10 years and has collected funds used to carry out projects linked to the health and the social services departments of the CLSC of Lac-Saint-Louis and Pierrefonds.  These funds make it possible to assist with people who have lost autonomy and the families of children or teenagers who have particular needs: subsidies for a child or a teenager with a disability to take part in a day camp, to offer respite to an overloaded family, to buy specialized equipment, etc

The West Island HSSC is a member of the Montreal Network of Health Promoting Hospitals and CSSSs, affiliated with the World Health Organization (WHO).

 

The CLSC de Pierrefonds and CLSC du Lac-Saint-Louis obtained the Baby-Friendly Initiative Certification, a program of the WHO and UNICEF.
